We boarded American Airlines Tuesday bound for Guam and after 12 hours in the air we landed at Narita airport in Tokyo, Japan. After a 5 hour layover we were off again for another 3 hours in the air finally landing at 2 am on thursday morning. We are now 15 hours ahead of the eastern side of the US. We were warmly welcome first by our friends Jake and Amy that morning and then by a wonderfully hospitable and welcoming Bethel family. It is so refreshing to be able to communicate freely. Everyone has an interesting story of how they got to Guam and we hope to share some of those with you, for now please enjoy a small tour of the facility with us.
On some Islands in Micronesia this circular disk with the whole in it made of granite is their currency. There was an article about it back about a year or more ago in the Awake magazine (Jan 8,2005 ). The item beside it was what they used to chart their course on water.
Great blog! Love, love, love the video tour. It makes us feel so connected with you over there - hearing your voices and seeing your faces. Let us know when you succeed at catching a chicken!
