If you have been wondering, what we have been doing......Well, we're doing what we came to do. Our first assignment was to expand a closet. But before we start Mike created a very efficient vacuum system to carry all the dust created away from construction site. This AC duct is 100ft long and we've dubbed it "The Worm". Expanding the closet included painting the room. The work was expanded to replastering the ceiling in the closet from a very rough texture to a smooth finish.

Prepping the walls for paint required sanding flat any uneven surfaces
The replastering of the closet walls and ceiling went so well that we also replastered the main living area, the kitchen and the bathroom
This is one of the missionaries serving Chuuk. Him and his wife Sarina come to the mainland every 6 months for supplies and etc. One of the things they took home was a large bag of dog food for the new guard dog for the missionary home there. While in Guam he made the cabinets for the closet. A trade he picked up from his dad before going to MTS school, then to Guam as a missionary

Mike enjoys working in the carpentry shop and I learned how to apply melamine edge banding to melamine.
Jeremy and Erin Topping came from Kentucky around the 5th of March. Jeremy is our tile expert and they will be helping in all phases of the work. Erin is a surgical assistant. Both enjoy pioneering together.
Reinforcements came in. Jason and Micki Schultz from Sacramento California arrived March 1 .Jason is a builder by trade and Miki is a bookkeeper. They learned alot on their last assignment in Columbia about Painting so they will be the painting experts on this project.
Cool worm. Was the name inspired from your last trip. hehe. Looks like your doing a great job. I guess I now belive you its not all fun in the sun in your little paradise there. But I'm glad to see that even working it looks like your have a good time with the brothers and sisters there. Keep up the good work.
